Well Hello There...

Okay its been forever. This is just a quick update, here goes nothing....

-I am now 6.75 months pregnant. Woo Hoo!! I stopped throwing up about 2 weeks ago and feel great. With Jackson I threw up the entire time... even during labor. Ugh!! :)

- I am still coaching softball and will be for another month or so.. I love the girls but the long drive and even longer hours are starting to make me complain a lot..

-Jackson turned 3 on March 8th and is doing well. He starts Pre-school in June and is super excited. Its only a few days a week, but I am going to miss my little sidekick.

- Baby Boy #2 will be here sometme in July. I still can't commit to a name, there are only two names that I really love so I think I'll just wait until he gets here and then decide.

- I am going to see No Doubt in May and Dave Matthews in August. I am pumped!!
-My hair will be blonde again on May 11th. I can't wait!! I dont know what I was thinking with this dark brown...

I think that's everything for now. Hope all is well with my handful of readers!!!

Peace Out 2008!!

I am a horrible blogger. It's been 3 months! Life has been super busy around here, the holidays have come and gone and now life can finally get back to normal. Kinda....

In October we learned that we are expecting baby number 2. While I am super excited to hold, love on, and sniff another child that looks exactly like my gorgeous husband, I'm not so excited about the all day sickness that comes along with such a gift. I have been fighting through it pretty well, some days are better than others.

Jackson will be 3 in March and he is pretty much the smartest kid I've ever met. He is so funny and witty and loving. He is constantly telling me that he loves me and how pretty I am. How did I get so lucky? He knows his ABC's and most numbers from 1-20. His language skills are out of control and he remembers EVERYTHING..This is not always a good thing. He loves pretty much any port and has recently become interested in cars and trains.

That's all for now.. I promise to update more often...Really.

Today is my husband Josh and I's 5th wedding anniversary.. I hate to get all mushy on you, but I am so truly blessed. Eveyday he does something that makes me love him even more.

Mountain Vacation

For the last 7 days I have been in the high sierras enjoying a little R&R. Well, as much rest and relaxation that comes with chasing a 2 year old around a lake, a stream, and several ducks. Not exactly relaxing, but fun. We spent many days walking around exploring different trails, feeding ducks and fish, spotting deer and hearing very scary stories about the bears that enter the campground after dark.
We spent our vacation at Silver Lake Resort. It's a place that I have been going to since I was born. Its a very special place for my family. My brother and I spent many summers riding bikes, fishing, and exploring. Its a tradition that I hope to keep alive with my own family. So far I have been successful. My husband loves camping and fishing and Jackson's first trip was when he was just 6 weeks old. What we do however does not exactly count as 'camping' per say. We own a travel trailer with a full bathroom, queen size bed, tv, and a killer sound system. I am spoiled.

On our last day at Silver Lake my mom, sister-in-law, brother and I decided to go for a hike. I am athletic and in pretty good shape but was no where near ready for what I went through that fateful morning. Oh My Goodness! I swear Laura (SIL) and I were near death several times. It's hard for me to breathe good anyways at the high elevation just walking can be hard sometimes, but climbing 2.1 miles and going up 12oo feet in elevation.. Oh dear God!

Needless to say, I survived! We are all now back home safe and sound, ready to get back to normal.

Bad Kitty

Meet my nemesis Trot.

About 3 years ago when Josh and I were in negotiations as to when we would have a child, I decided that I wanted a cat. I wanted something to cuddle up in my lap and love on me at the end of a hard day.

A few days later when we went to the pet store to pick up some dog food, I noticed that it was adoption day and saw all of the cute little kittens snoozing away in their little cages. I HAD. TO. HAVE. ONE. I have no idea why either. I had never been a cat person. Honestly I thought that they were kinda moody and evil. The worst feeling in the world, according to me, is when a cat rubs against your leg.. ugh!

So anyways, as I stared into the cages I noticed a tabby that seemed pretty cool. The adoption worker noted that the tabby was more playful and the other cats were pretty lazy. Of course I wanted the more playful kitten, who wouldn't? This was my first mistake. We brought Trot home that night and of course I promptly came down with the flu. It was only a sign of things to come.

To put it nicely Trot and I have learned to co-exist. Trot LOVES Josh and pretty much wants nothing to do with me. When ever I attempt to walk down the hallway or do anything he is usually trying to claw at the back of my feet or lay down directly in the middle of that path in which I am walking. He spends evenings curled up on Josh's lap loving on him. I guess you could say that I'm resentful. I feed and water Trot, clean his litter box, and also give him special cat snacks. All I get back from him is harassment, and scratches on the back of my legs.

Way tooo long

So it seems that I have already failed at this blogging thing. What the F? So since it has been sooo long I am going to update ya'll on what Ive been doing the last 2 weeks.

-My grandfather passed away. He was 94 and lived a very full and awesome life. He did things his way and was dignified to the very end. I am proud to have known him and have had such a special relationship with him. He wasn't your kisses and hugs type of man, in fact I never remember him ever telling me that he loved me, but I know that he did. I also know that he was very proud of me and my accomplishments.

-Jackson has been very..'ahem'...difficult lately. What is the deal with this kid? All day long everyday he goes around pointing out things that he 'does not like'. It reminds me of that Ensure ad where the little girl is sitting in the grocery cart pointing out different things to her mom that she doesn't like... "But I don't like broccoli, I don't like chicken, blah, blah, blah." Sometimes it takes every ounce of my being to not scream out at the top of my lungs. I just try to tell myself that tomorrow will be better. Yeah, riiiiight.

-I have been addicted to the Olympics. Seriously. I think that I may be a genius/expert at every sport by the time they have the final ceremonies.

I think that about wraps up my last few weeks. I'll be better about keeping up from now on. :)

P.S. Here is my hubby Josh's latest creation. Jackson LOVES playing with blocks. He will ask a complete stranger to come home and build stuff with him. Josh also likes the blocks. But daddy is not very good at sharing and takes a lot of pride in his work. When they are playing I spend most of my time trying to keep Jack away from Josh.
